Individual components can be removed without completely dismantling the system. The rubber retaining rings allow some movement-enough to remove front components without removing the rear also. Removal of the left rear tire will improve access to the joint between the middle and rear mufflers. A penetrating oil applied to all bolts and slip joints several hours before performing the work will make removal easier.
