Testing and Replacing Voltage StabilizerTest the voltage stabilizer with the instrument cluster removed, but with the harness connectors connected. Connect a voltmeter between terminals 1 and 2 of the voltage stabilizer as shown in Fig. 7-2. Connect the ground cable to the battery and turn the ignition on. The meter should read approximately 10 volts. If it is above 10.5 volts or below 9.5 volts, the voltage stabilizer is faulty and should be replaced. Remove the voltage stabilizer by removing its retaining screw and sliding it straight off of its terminals.
